| The Franks Design Group, PC was established in 2006. We are committed to the belief that design is an active collaborative enterprise. We provide our clients with creative and appropriate design solutions born out of a dialogue-based approach to the entire design and construction process. Founding Principal Peter G. Franks has been working in the architectural profession since 1987 and has been a Registered Architect since 1992. Through nearly 20 years of professional design practice and several years of university-level teaching experience, he brings broad experience from a diverse group of project types to the benefit of every new client relationship. Pete is a Registered Architect in Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota; and has earned a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, enabling registration in other states. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, granted by the US Green Building Council. An Architect Member of the American Institute of Architects since 1992, Pete is also a member of the Iowa Barn Foundation. He served as a Founding Commissioner of the Mills County Iowa Planning and Zoning Commission from 2005-07, and is now the Chairman of the Mills County Zoning Board of Adjustment. Pete is a volunteer firefighter with the Hastings Iowa Fire Department, is nationally-certified at the Firefighter I level and is training to be a nationally-certified EMS First Reponder. |
